Ana-I have always admired the elegance of equestrianism but I am terrified of getting on a horse.  Equestrian attire adheres to a structured aesthetic, from the polished look of tall boots to the refined design of tailored jackets. Equestrian fashion is a way for me to try on new ways to look sophisticated without the risk.

What did I discover?

Riding Breeches are surprisingly comfortable but I must confess I spent most of the day while wearing them peeling off the chairs I sat on (due to the inner grip material). The riding boots really transformed the outfit. The ones I am wearing in the photo are Clarks and also beyond comfy.  The tailored jacket looks a bit like an uniform. Now, the bomber vest is a what I call a calculated risk!

Viejas, I was going for comfy equestrian chic! Let’s hear it for me and my painted horse.

Corina – Honestly, I do not like riding motorcycles. I burned my leg with the exhaust pipe and have been thrown off a motorcycle in the past, so speeding on a motorcycle in open roads or weaving through traffic in one, is really scary. What I do like is the “biker style”. I will never wear the head-to-toe biker look, but I am all in when it comes to some of the elements associated with motorcycle riders' fashion. My favorites are the iconic black leather jacket or vest, the black denim jacket and the black leather boots. I do stay away from the chain wallet and jewelry. I substitute the traditional biker bandana for a silk handkerchief and exchange the graphic biker tees for simpler tops.
