Nails are also part of our style

Ana- As my eyesight decreased there were two things I needed to do. One was to wear shorter nails-as I was poking myself everywhere, all the time- and the other was to have them done by someone else so I did not end up with an expressionist paint all over my fingers. I also decided that only a french manicure looked good on my short nails. For years that is all I got. During the pandemic's "great reflection", I pondered whether I really needed this expense.

Viejas, I do! Nails need love and attention. I discovered matte blues and grays look best with my skin color. I am even saving money as a regular manicure is less expensive than a french one. Sometimes the nail color I choose goes with my outfit and sometimes it pops against it. I love it!

Corina- Hands carry us through daily tasks, work and chores. It is only fair to treat and pamper them with lotions, oils and when possible, a massage. Taking care of our hands and nails is essential to our health and reduces stress and anxiety. In addition, hands and nails say a lot about us and our style. Personally, I have always taken good care of my hands, but I have never been too adventurous when it comes to my nails; not even when I was younger. As a teenager and in my 20’s I favored long red nails, but for decades now I have been getting basic manicures and wearing short nails. I do change the color of my nail polish often based on my mood, occasion and time of year. I like to wear dark polish in the winter, bright or nude colors in the summer and sometimes I add sparkles or glitter for a pick-me-up.
