HACK “strategy or technique for managing time more efficiently...” in the styling world it translates to “tips and tricks that make a difference on how you look or that make your life easier”

Ana- Before the internet exploded with people sharing their fashion hacks; I had a few styling hacks of my own. My favorite internet hacks are the ones that show how to wear beautiful handkerchiefs as blouses. I tried it recently and I had a lot of fun!
Here are my other top styling hacks. For hacks 2-4; visit our insta: https://www.instagram.com/viejaswithstyle/reels/

- A wooden hoop goes a long way
- A pair of scissors is your best friend
- Backwards can be fun. Just avoid the “Celine”!
- Hold it together and make it useful. Use belts to close open jackets and dusters, use belt straps in pants to hold a fanny pack in place
Viejas, just remember to have fun!
Corina - I have spent a decent amount of time on social media learning about all different kinds of tricks and hacks related to beauty and fashion, which honestly, I do not use. However, I do have a few that I do use which I learned from my hairdresser, my mom and a friend.

Shiny Hair – I frequently get stopped at stores, on the street and at social gatherings by people who ask what on earth do I do to make my hair so shiny. Having healthy strands and a healthy scalp is a big contributor to my shiny hair. However, the following hacks always help. I apply coconut oil at least 2x a month and leave it overnight. I also use shine products such as Dry Shine by J Beverly Hills or Super Skinny Serum by Paul Mitchell. NEVER apply it directly to the hair but always spray a small amount on the tip of your fingers and “brush” over your hair.

Keep “items” Together – I mix and match everything I own; however, there are certain items that I always wear together. I store them with each other in my closet so I save time when getting dressed. For example: I keep tops and necklaces in my closet that I often wear together in the same hanger.

Pendant Scarf – Sometimes I use a scarf as the “chain” for a pendant. I have a couple of large pendants that seem too bulky to wear with a chain, so I hang them from a lightweight scarf to create a necklace. I always place the jewelry in the middle and then adjust the scarf in different ways depending on what kind of top I am wearing.
